Hardware installation for this wireless card is straightforward, and users who can’t install such a card may not be suitable buyers. Software installation is easy as well, although the included Asus management software is subpar and reduces bandwidth. Using Windows management is recommended. Compared to other devices like an iPad, iPhone, and a Windows 7 laptop on the same access point, this card exhibited significantly lower internet speeds on average, with 2.3 Mbps download and 4 Mbps upload.

Attempts to improve speed, such as using TCP Optimizer and adjusting power management settings in Windows 7, yielded minimal results. This card may not meet the needs of power users, as there are better options available. Likewise see also the ASUS X452LDV Laptop Bluetooth Driver and the ASUS Wireless 802.11n Card Driver.

Overall, this product was purchased about two weeks ago and has been a satisfying experience. The setup was quick and trouble-free, with simple steps of inserting the card, turning on the computer, and installing the drivers. Performance-wise, the drivers seem well-designed, with minimal impact on CPU performance. The card performs well at a distance of around 25 feet from the router, with only a slight reduction in speed due to the wireless connection. While it may not deliver gigabit speeds, it is perfectly suitable for regular users. Also see the Vostro 260 Wireless 1502 WLAN Driver.
